Why I Like Dzone.com

by 7. May 2009 20:45

I’ve recently found a site named dzone.com.  Dzone is a lot like Digg.com where you can vote articles up or down based on its merits.  What makes Dzone.com different is that it’s Technologist centric but not biased towards any one technology.  There are articles from Enterprise Architects, UX Designers, Developers, and IT Management (links are sprinkled with all kinds of views).  I have found more interesting articles here than anywhere else.

It’s a great community and I would highly recommend that any serious technologist book mark this site, read it often, and participate in the voting and discussions.  Not to mention it’s a well designed site.  The Ajax scrolling feature is hot!

Yes. DZone is really cool. When ever I struck with some technical issues, I come to DZone and search for solutions! :)

Dzone is very much biased to Java and stories coming from its sister sites. There is also a click of Java and Rails users waiting to promote anything without reading it first.

Yes, It's just like Digg.

Nope. nd speaks the truth the site is HEAVILY BIASED towards Java and close-minded of mostly everything else. I love and hate the Dzone community at the same time.

You both are being dumb. I find lots of relevant articles, spanning many fields on dzone.com.

I see no particular bias toward java... and even is there was, there is enough content to sort through daily to fit whatever subject you choose.

So stop complaining, and enjoy!

agreed digg is uswless, since they do not give us a backlink.
